How to split an image into Instagram carousel slides

Upload one panoramic JPG, PNG or WebP image. Choose 2 to 10 slides and the desired square (1:1) or portrait (4:5) format. Adjust the zoom and horizontal or vertical crop position until the preview looks right. Download all slides together as a ZIP and post them in numerical order.

Supported Instagram slide sizes

Square carousel slides are exported at 1080 x 1080 pixels. Portrait slides use 1080 x 1350 pixels. All slides share one continuous crop, so adjacent edges align. Social media platform requirements can change, so check the current Instagram guidance before publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Instagram Carousel Splitter free?

Yes. You can split and download your image without creating an account.

Does the image get uploaded to a server?

No. The carousel splitting and ZIP creation take place in your browser. This tool does not send your selected image to GYROX for processing.

How can I download all slides?

Choose JPG, PNG or WebP, then click Download all slides as ZIP. The files are named in order, starting with gyrox-carousel-01, ready to upload as a carousel.

Does it work on a phone?

The tool supports modern mobile browsers. For large images or many PNG slides, use JPG output to keep downloads smaller.
